Just arrived - This 1968 Buick Electra 225 Limited is perfect for those who want something a little different - and RHD too. The Electra 225 was manufactured from 1959 to 1990, with the 1968 being included in the the third generation. 1968 came with some restyling for the Electra, including a revised grille, taillight trim, and concealed windshield wipers. The instrument panel also saw a redesign with a square speedometer and other instruments, and a new steering wheel. Carried on from 1967, the 'Limited' option package saw the Electra gain an ultra-luxurious interior trim which was only available in the 225 sedan, and the new 430 and 455 cubic-inch Buick V8's. Although originally a 430, the engine has been upgraded to the 455 Buick V8, earning you an extra 25ci, a stronger block, and an 800CFM Quadrajet carburettor. The 455 had a complete overhaul and rebore in 2013, as well as custom extractors, a new aluminium radiator, and starter motor. This is paired to a 3 speed TH-400 column shift automatic gearbox which was overhauled in 2014 along with a full gasket and seal kit, bush kit, Teflon rings, Torrignton bearing kit, and a reconditioned torque converter. The Electra recieved a bare metal respray in 2015 along with some rust repairs, repainted in Monza Blue as seen on the HT Monaro, at value of approx. $10k. The interior has been reupholstered, retrimmed, and fresh carpet to which continues to be in very good condition, and right hand drive finishes this comfortable cruiser off in style.
