In 1968, the 2000 Sports was updated with a new body featuring a taller windshield, an integrated rear-view mirror, a padded dashboard with non-toggle switches, built-in headrests, and lifting door handles. This car is powered by the powerful 2L U20 engine along with a 5 speed manual transmission. It was previously sold to well-known Melbourne motoring identity John Ould in approx. 2000 for his daughter, Cassie Ould. The Datsun then passed to another owner in 2011, who completed an extensive body-off restoration over three years.
