Presenting in Silver over a black fabric interior, only around 3,000 examples of the NSU RO 80 were produced for 1969. Having been meticulously kept by its previous owners, this vehicle is in outstanding condition.
Featuring the unique 995cc Wankel rotary engine paired to a 3-speed “semi-automatic” gearbox, this car provided a substantial 113 horsepower to the rear wheels. Additionally, features included four-wheel disc brakes and all-round independent suspension. As well as being a comfortable sedan, the RO 80 was quite the performer.
Accompanying this vehicle is a history file containing an original owner’s manual, service manual, factory spare keys and an NSU repair manual.
Voted the “Car of the Year” for 1968, the NSU RO 80 utilised technology that was cutting edge at the time, resulting in a comfortable 4-seater that boasted excellent performance. The Wankel rotary engine, inboard front brakes and unique design of the R0 80 has rendered it unique and highly collectable. After a short production run of only 10 years, these vehicles are very rare, especially in such excellent condition.
