On its release the MGB became an instant success. The path had been set for a series of cars which would continue in production for 18 Years, selling over 500,000 examples. The MGB GT, first released in 1965 with their coupe styling offering many advantages including: reduced road noise, a weatherproof cabin, a much larger amount of usable storage space, rear seats and most importantly a lockable and secure cabin. This MGB GT was built on 29-30 October 1970 and despatched to the USA on 6 November 1970, then imported to Australia in the late 80s and converted to right hand drive.
