Genuine GTR XU-1 LJ Torana. From the beginning the car was courted as a Group C Race Car. In it’s early life the car was fitted with a replacement NASCO NL Block (under warranty) as many were. Serviced extensively by Ian Tate who built the existing engine and knows this car very well. Extensive track history and now a very very presentable road car. Still fitted with 1/2 Alloy 1/2 Steel Roll Cage. Currently on Victorian Club Registration (being sold unregistered) Totally original interior with freshened up carpets. Current ownership over 20 years, reluctant sale. Provenance file passed onto successful purchaser. Vendor states 1 of batch of 10 suspected of being cheater versions as fitted with Bathurst ratios inc gearbox, Detroit locker diff centre and fine spline axles. These parts officially arrived in the so called “Bathurst” models later in 1973. Build date sequence for Holden would call this car a 1973 build.
