I'm looking for a Chrysler enthusiast to take over the build on my very original "survivor" 1973 Charger SE coupe, imported last year. My original intention was to do a Roadkill (google that if you need to, or tune in to MotorTrend channel) or barn-find style muscle car but I have simply lost interest plus I've purchased another car in the meantime. Charger is a factory big block, Torqueflite console and bucket seat model. Fully optioned with aircon, tinted glass, power windows plus lots more. In fact it has so many options it has two fender tags... Original 400 cube motor has been replaced by a strong 440 big block RB motor, that appears to have been rebuilt. Valve covers and oil pan were removed by my mechanic before final install- all looked as expected for a fresh motor. New block hugger headers ( plus heaps of other new parts ) were recently fitted with NO other exhaust system fitted up, car starts up easily and was able to be driven around workshop to confirm gearbox and brakes at least work. It's LOUD. Fan and crank pulley system still need to be obtained. Obviously a full mechanical going over will still be required as the coupe has been off the road for a number of years. I purchased the car because it has one of the most rust free bodies you could imagine, with only a couple of very small rust spots in one area showing around the sun baked vinyl roof trim. Originally sold in sunny California and spent its life there I was told. Most of the sun burned Gold Poly paint appears original although the front panels have been replaced. The original Gold Vinyl interior is all there but nicely sun fried as well.. Charger therefore needs more restoration, how much will depend upon your ultimate intention for the coupe! Import Approval is held. With the prices of Chargers increasing dramatically at the moment this one offers a great entry level opportunity. I usually ignore silly questions and email offers.
