G'day All, A busy life and awkward arrangements have pushed me to sell this beast, which I'm not happy about, but it's not viable at this current point in time to own this gorgeous machine. Club Plates - not transferable. - 1974 Buick Riviera, 440CI "Stage 1" V8. Mind you, this would be the only, or at least one of the few "Stage 1" 440's in Australia, and probably the only one in RHD. - TH400 transmission. Shifts perfectly. - Converted to RHD in the 1980's by Lockart Motors in QLD. 20,129 Riveras came off the line in 1974, and only 1,698 had the Stage 1 performance engine. - Repainted body approx 3 years ago in the colour that came out of the factory. - Entire interior was re-trimmed approx 5 years ago. - Period bluetooth/radio head unit installed. Still have original, which works. - Everything is kept period correct. Even has original rims. - Went through a RWC approx 3 months ago. All it needed was Upper Control Arm bushes, Radiator leak repair and flush. Also had a few globes replaced. - The previous owner took great care of it, a lot of parts have been replaced in the past few years (alternator, battery, starter motor etc). Work done in the past 3 months to get it up to scratch: Oil filter and oil change. Transmission Service. Brake Fluid flush. Horn fixed. Issues: Minor Coolant leak. I've kept an eye on the coolant reservior, and it has gone down about 2 - 3 cm after approx 750ks of driving, which isn't anything major. Easy as checking the coolant level every now and then, but should really be fixed. Minor exhaust leak. Rust free, body is totally clean, as is undercarriage. Stored indoors, under a tarp. Very rare, absolutely gorgeous cruiser. You won't believe how many smiles, thumbs up, flashes of headlights, and questions I get about this car. She's a real head turner, because you don't see this model around often, if at all. And when people here that 440 fire up... It's "Wow!" "It's so loud!" Seriously, puts a smile on your face to see other people getting joy out of it.
