Just arrived - This 1975 Dolomite Sprint is the ultimate sports saloon. Beginning in August of 1975, only 620 Dolomite Sprints were exported to Australia with fewer than 80 believed to have survived. Some even raced in Bathurst alongside the Toranas. Sales value from new was documented at $7700 which scored you full instrumentation with a clock, a walnut interior, and corded bri-nylon upholstery. The car was complete with a 2L slant 4 cylinder motor with a 4 speed manual, usually with overdrive. The BMIHT Factory Record confirms that the car is an original right-hand drive, Australian-delivered, with factory overdrive, a laminated windscreen, and headrests. Like all Australian-delivered Sprints, it was finished in 'Mimosa' yellow with a black cord interior, however, forwent the vinyl roof. The previous owner began the restoration of the Sprint in 2003 and has spent an unspeakable amount restoring it to its current condition, with a large file of photos and receipts documenting this process. The car was pulled apart and stripped back to bare metal, receiving many a rust fix and a fresh respray in the original colour. The seats were retrimmed, the dash refurbished, and the motor entirely rebuilt with a new radiator, all new hoses, bushes, shocks, a fresh exhaust, reconditioned and machined brakes and drums, repaired starter motor and alternator, and so much more. Three years on, the car has done a small 735kms since this restoration. As such, it remains in beautiful condition, runs like a treat and is sure to turn heads.
