-Beautifully repainted in original colour Contessa Gold metallic
Here is a piece of real Australian family Motoring History and a unique 1970’s era sedan.
Top-of-the-line model for the HX Holden was the Premier. Delivered new 2nd November 1976 by Nash Holden Lakemba, built with a 253 V8 and Tri-Matic gearbox, painted in GMH Contessa Gold metallic with tan vinyl roof over tan and cloth interior, The HX is symbolic of the all Australian family car.
This car is in outstanding condition for its age, mostly unrestored apart from an earlier repaint. Engine and Driveline are in great condition and an amazing example of this series, places this time machine into the must have collectors’ class of Holden’s home-grown collectables.
The vehicle comes complete with original Holden HX owners Guide and Owner’s manual. This vehicle is matching numbers.
The Premier models were differentiated from the cheaper variants by a four head light frontal treatment.
The HX series was released in July 1976 and featured a range of models developed from those in the superseded Holden HJ range, which had been in production since 1974. The HX models featured only minor updates to the exterior, notably the grille and badgework. However significant changes were made to the engines to meet new Australian emissions regulations. During the course of the HX series, front bucket seats were adopted as standard equipment for Kingswood-badged vehicles.
