Seller's Description
I bought this wagon in 2015. After putting some work into it I used it as my daily driver and for work travel for the last 4 years. Considering it's historic value it would be better off being owned by an enthusiast who has time to restore it. Probably best off getting historic plates and joining a club rather than being used as a daily driver REGO : It has rego until 10th December 2019. I can get a pink slip done for a prospective buyer BODY : * There are a few small dings, the biggest just under the rear windscreen. *Small bend in right corner of rear fender (under bumper bar) but its accessible and fixable. * Minimal surface rust. No structural rust * Original paint, scratches and chips here and there MECHANICAL : * New engine installed in 2003.… it’s exactly the same as the original engine it came from the factory with in ’83…. Blue 202 (3.3L) straight 6. I have the installation/warranty document. WORK I’VE DONE ON IT outside normal servicing : 2015 : New tailshaft centre bearing New front brake pads New water pump and radiator hoses New front wheel bearings New air filter New battery 2 new tyres 2016 – * Fit 2nd hand radio/CD/Mp3 player * Renew AC system including new hoses, compressor adapters, pressure switch and condenser fan *New rear uni joint *New side cover gasket 2017 – New front brake pad kits and new front brake pads 2018 – New headlight/indicator switch New valve cover gasket New manifold vacuum adaptor Fit auto trans service kit June – 6 x new spark plugs 2019 * July 2 new tyres NOTES : * The trimatic auto transmission drinks more ATF than it should. Need to add 1-2 litres every couple of months. When the ATF gets low 2nd gear slips into neutral, but moving the gear shift to 2nd gear puts it back in 2nd and it stays there. Then when 3rd gear is needed move the shifter to D and it goes into 3rd as normal. * When I bought it the odometer wasn’t working. That was at around 178,000 kms. After I drove it a few thousand KMs it started working again and is accurate. It now reads 215,000kms. There is no way to know how many KMs the car did before I owned it, but judging from how reliable it has been I don’t think it would have been much more than 180,000 odd. * The speedo isn’t accurate, the needle moves around * Spent money renewing AC system in 2016. A minor electrical issue in 2017 caused the compressor switch to stop working. I left it be and put up with heat after that. I don’t think it’d be a difficult repair and I know around abouts where the problem is * Rear right window only winds half way down SPARE PARTS : Quite a few including bumpers, lights and tail lights ACCESSORIES : Original rear windscreen louvre/venitian.
