Brock's magical Plus Pack equipped HDT VL SS Group A in stunning Permanent Red with immaculate Scheel trim. This is the controversial Energy Polariser equipped version of the SS Group A. As Holden saw no technical merit in the Polariser and refused to fit it to the cars, Brock refused to put decals with his signature on cars without it. As a result, Brock’s signature only appears on the higher spec Plus Pack variant. The Plus Pack also includes revised springs and anti roll bars as well as revised front suspension geometry and changed spring mounting pads. It also has improved cylinder head cooling with the introduction of an extra water passage to the head and a higher pressure fuel pump. The Group A comprised a redesigned radiator grille, colour keyed bumpers, Racing specification spoilers on the front and on the boot lid and a small grooved Induction scoop attached to the bonnet with a new cold air induction set up. The current owner of over 15 years has stroked the original 4.9L V8 to a 320 Hp 355 cui, while retaining most of the original parts. The VL Group A uses the Borg Warner T5G 5 speed transmission and the diff is the 4 pinion Borg Warner item with 3.08 ratio (revised to 3.55 currently). Build No. 146 has the original log books and owners manuals and has covered a genuine 96,000 klms since new. A rare and well maintained example of Brock's finest.
