Nissan 200ZR PZ31 2 seat T-top 1988 Series II

Gloss black with black/grey cloth trim unique to the 200ZR.
This is a rare opportunity to purchase one of the most sought after Nissan sports cars.
Offered for sale is a lovely example of the limited production Nissan 200ZR in 2-seater configuration.
Produced for the Japanese market only, the 200ZR was introduced in 1986 with the slightly chunkier wedge shape.
It was available in 2-seater or 2+2 configuration, the vast majority being 2+2 Automatic.
The 200ZR was brought to the market after strong demand for a lighter, more sports-oriented Z and to reconnect with the straight 6 heritage established by the legendary 240Z.
In 1987, the Series II offered a smoother overall shape with a prettier front and slim tail light treatment replacing the dated looking Series 1 shape.
Production ran until late 1989 when the 300ZX was introduced.
Total PZ31 production numbers are not easily obtained, but based on total Z sales in Japan, only about 400 to 600 were produced in 1988, most being 2+2 automatic.
So the vehicle offered here is rare indeed.
Body is very tight, indicative of a very low mileage vehicle. This is a lovely example of an appreciating classic Z.
Mechanically very sound. Smooth and docile at low speeds, but open the throttle and you tap into over 300hp at the wheels.
