These beautiful 80’s luxury Japanese cars are becoming hard to come by particularly in such great condition as this one. Overall the body and paint is in excellent condition with no rust which is rare for a car that’s turning 30 years old. PLEASE NOTE: This is the privately Imported MS137 model which has the 7MGE 3ltr 6cyl 24 valve twin cam motor which is also found in the Toyota Cressida and Supra.
The Crown is the pinnicle of all the Toyata models. This car is loaded with features that would rival some of today’s modern cars. Some of these features include; electric steering column, electric seats front & rear, electric windows & mirrors, TV, GPS, central locking, adjustable air suspension, digital dash & much more. The only non-original items are an electric water temp gauge and CD player.
The car is good mechanically and all the electrics functions are in perfect working order. Having only travelled 186,000 kms the engine starts easy, runs smooth and has plenty of power. This car has been well looked after by its owners and has been serviced regularly. I have also just fitted a new battery.
The car is being sold unregistered but it would not take much to get a RWC as it was driven daily prior to me storing over a year ago. The only real issue is a small leak in the air suspension compressor which is causing one side of the car to sag a bit. This problem was apparent when I purchased several years ago and was fixed relatively easily but has returned due to it sitting around. The air conditioning also needs looking at and was not working when I purchased it.
These styles of luxury Jap sedan classics are becoming popular particularly with younger enthusiast. As the car turns 30 years old this year it makes it eligible for special interest concessional club registration making it a great collectors item.
