Seller's Description
THE STORY The Z28 has always been Chevrolet’s most unique Camaro trim. From the start and finish line, the Z28 scorched the earth. For six generations Chevrolet has created some awesome cars in the Camaro, a muscle car that was meant to meet the Mustang on the streets and the track alike. From its famed first-generation beginnings in 1967, all the way through to its beloved appearance as Bumblebee in the modern-day Transformers films, the Camaro has always had a large and passionate fanbase. The Z28 was the performance top trim and in 1985 the famed IROC-Z package was added for performance and appearance. “IROC” stood for the ‘International Race of Champions” series and in 1988, the IROC-Z had fully replaced the Z28. THE CAR This example of the 1988 Z28 IROC-Z stands out thanks to its iconic body design, and Pearl paint finish, Targa top roof and black and grey cloth trim. The vehicle has been converted to right-hand drive and is equipped with power-steering and boasts extremely tight handling. The 5.7L 350ci Tuned Port Injection engine provides fantastic power and is one of only 12,116 IROC-Zs produced in 1988. Other features include 4-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, immobiliser and central locking. Current ownership exceeds 15 years and the battery was replaced in 2021. True American muscle in great condition!
