This car was the vehicle photographed & measured for the prototype of the Biante VL Group A SS Walkinshaw model car. The prototype model car is included in the purchase. 1988 HSV VL SS Group A 'Walkinshaw' was built to homologate the Holden VL Commodore Group A race car.
Following the dissolution of the Holden Dealer Team in 1987, it would be the first car to roll out of Tom Walkinshaw racing's newly formed Holden Special Vehicles operation in Melbourne. This VL Walkinshaw was purchased from R&B Smith Holden in Geelong on the 27/05/1988. After two caring Victorian owners, the vehicle was purchased by the current owner in 1997 where it has been safely stored undercover and not driven for the last 12 years. T
