After almost 15 000 km, time will come to sell our lovely campervan "Howie"! We will be in Adelaide from the 1st of August. The rego is valid until september 2016 and as it is a SA vehicle, all the operations can be done online (renew, transfer,...). We have a premium road side assistance with RACV until may 2017 with unlimited roadside assistance. This works wherever you are in Australia. It's a very cosy van with a real bed and a thick comfortable queen size mattress, also it can easily fits 2 to 3 people. It has a lot of storage space under the bed, plastic boxes of all sizes, cupboards, 4 clothes boxes and some storage baskets in the bed area. Toyota Hiace van is like a REFERENCE in the vans' world in Australia as it has a very robust mechanical design and well known to last for a very long time. Moreover, it runs on diesel which allows cheaper fuel budget than unleaded engines and longer lifetime and distance autonomy. One full tank costs approximately 60$ and last for roughly 700 kms. We bought "Howie" from a mechanic, and it belonged to a carpet cleaning service company. We have changed few major parts over our journey : Clutch (May 2016) Timing belt (May 2016) Head gasket, thermostat, radiator hose and new motor head (June 2016) Front tyres (June 2016) Front and rear breaks (July 2016) We have all invoices for these changes. In July we did the service at 310 200 ks and it's good to go till 320 200 ks all major 100 mechanical points have been checked and the service comes with a country wide 6 months guarantee. We are the FIRST BACKPACKERS to use it and it was empty so we set it up entirely and treat it with care :) The van comes with : 1 big queen size mattress 1 blanket 2 big pillows 2 bed linen 1 camping table 2 camping chairs 2 beach chairs 1 solar shower 1 camping lamp 1 LED lamp 2 tarps (1 large and 1 small) 1 sunvisor Dust pan with shovel 2 towels Few tea towels 1 second battery with inverter All the cooking equipment: 2 sauce pans 2 frying pans 1 tub 2 bowls 4 mugs Lot of cutlery Plates Salad bowl Spices and condiments Strainer Chopping board 2 burners stove (with guarantee) with steel foot and gas lantern (and matches) 4 kilos gas bottle swap and go 4 wine glasses Plastic goblets 1 small plunger coffee maker 1x25 litres Esky 1 cooling bag 1 veggies box 1 eggs box 2x20 litres water containers with tap 2x10 litres containers It also comes with screwdrivers, jack, 10 meters extension cord, radiant coolant, engine oil, windscreen washing liquid, a pair of jumper cables, batteries for the lamps, a good spare tyre.
