Seller's Description
This 1994 Rover Mini Cooper is a solid example of the diminutive city car, which is finished in an attractive and eye-catching colour scheme. It is powered by a 1,275cc A-series inline-four cylinder engine, delivering around 46kW to the front wheels through a smooth four-speed automatic gearbox. This Mini Cooper is finished in the vibrant hue of Solar Red with a contrasting white roof, door mirror covers, bonnet stripes, and side pinstripes, over a black leather and patterned cloth-trimmed cabin, offset by red piping and carpet. It rides on a set of 12-inch silver-painted Minilite alloy wheels, which are fitted with a new set of Haida tyres. Features include a heated rear screen, heating and ventilation controls, grey instrument dials, a dashboard ash tray, and a Panasonic radio cassette player head unit. The car will be accompanied by its owner’s manuals, NSW logbook, a miniature Mini die-cast model, a copy of Mini World magazine, and its spare wheel and tool kit. Britain’s favourite car of all time, beating the McLaren F1 and Jaguar E-Type. What really made the MINI stand out is the fact that it was awarded the “European Car of the Century” title in 1999. That really makes you think about how much popularity and attention this vehicle has enjoyed. And technically, it’s still the reigning champ. After taking the European title, it was second only to the Ford Model T for the title of international “Car of The Century”. Autocar magazine voted Mini “The greatest car of all time” in 1991. The Mini was such a winning formula, that it remained almost unchanged for 41 years. It changed motoring forever and influenced pop culture and fashion with all four Beatles members having owned Minis and it inspired Mary Quant to invent the miniskirt. The engine featured here, the 1275cc was the biggest ever engine made available for the classic Mini as part of the A Series of engines. Minis proved to be motorsport marvels and among their many successes were: five British Saloon Car Championships, two European Touring Car Championships and three British Rally Championships, while a Cooper S won the Monte Carlo Rally in 1964, 1965 and 1967. Racing driver, Stirling Moss, was banned for a year back in 1961. As a result of speeding in a Mini while testing it for a Sunday paper. Yes, this thing can go. It’s tiny but has plenty of room. The most people to fit into a Mini was 28. If there’s enough room for 28 people, there’s enough room for you. The hotshot 1275cc engine is fuel-injected for improved drivability. The four-banger turns over with a twist of the key, to which the throaty bark of the 4-cylinder comes to life. The MINI proves that you don't need to spend big money on a car that delivers efficient and fun motoring.
