In April 1995, HSV launched the new generation VS range, which at the time, represented the pinnacle of Australian sports motoring. The HSV VS GTS was the flagship performance model of HSV (except VS GTS/R) and came with a six-speed manual or optional four-speed automatic. The VS Series GTS retained the same Holden 5.7-litre stroked engine producing 215kw as used in the VR GTS. This motor had its debut in the VR series of HSV sedans. It was a bored and stroked version of the Holden (304ci 5.0 litre) and was originally available on the VR Senator and GTS 215i. A Tremec T-56 six-speed manual gearbox option exclusive to this engine was introduced as the then current Borg-Warner T-5 5-speed could not reliably handle the prodigious amounts of torque it produced.

As far as HSV’s go in the VS range this car ticks all the boxes! Finished in beautiful, rare Silver Mink Metallic with all GTS badging. On the inside we have immaculate Slate Grey leather with GTS embroidery on the door trims with the matched classiness of a full electric (optional) sunroof. In and out this car presents beautifully and is a must see. Distinctive 3 piece polished rims are also in great condition. Being the GTS model, it houses the powerful 215kw 5.7lt “stroker”engine  and of the 154 VS GTS series II produced this is one of only 103 fitted with the T-56 six speed manual. Build number of this car is 334 (combined Series I and Series II) showing 162,000km on the odometer. This GTS drives great and ready to enjoy. Ready for viewing in our Kogarah facility.
