Much work has been done to restore this car to original condition. The paint has been color corrected and matched to the original factory color Sting Red. The original paint & clear coat was pealing across the bonnet, front guards and bumpers. The front headlights have been replaced with brand new factory units and Hi Intensity Globes as have the rear tail-light assemblies. All replaced with brand new Light Assemblies and Globes. The front bumper was replaced with a brand new bar and color matched to the bodywork and driving light surrounds were also replaced with new units. Wheels have been repainted in factory Tuxedo Black with brand new tyres fitted to the rear. New wiper blades have been fitted to the front and a whole brand new wiper arm assembly has been fitted to the rear door. The engine was rebuilt in this car at 160,000k's by the previous owner and is a strong and tuff sounding unit making about 260kw at the rear wheels. The interior has been cleaned thoroughly and is in excellent condition and with a steam clean could look like brand new. A common fault with VE Wagons has also been addressed where the ABS sensors eventually fail due to the mounting location in this model car. When these sensors fail it prevents the car from using its Stability Control System and will provide an error on the dash and not engage Stability Control Mode. Both of these sensors have now also been replaced with genuine replacement parts and are working perfectly and without error.
