MG virtual Show and Shine 2024 is open
This year’s MG virtual Show and Shine is now open. First held in 2021 as a way for MG owners and enthusiasts to show their cars while under COVID restrictions, the 2024 edition of the Show and Shine marks 100 years of MG and 110 years for the event’s charity partner, the Australian Red Cross.
The online-only event welcomes photos and videos of MGs new and old - from the earliest pre-WWI models, through classic Midgets, MGAs and MGBs, to the latest ZS electric SUV.
For every vehicle uploaded, MG will donate $30 to the Australian Red Cross, with the goal of raising $20,000 this year to support Red Cross programmes that assist vulnerable Australians.
Entrants will have the chance to win prizes for their photo or video submissions, with the grand prize of a $5,000 Red Balloon voucher.
Brad Chruszcz, MG Motor National Sales Manager team said the virtual car show is a great way of giving help to people when they need it most.
“It started with a dream to turn customer passion and their cars toward helping raise much needed funds for people in need, some of whom are experiencing homelessness - now, while Australia sleeps and works," Chruszcz said. “This digital car show offers far more than just showcasing vehicles—it provides hope and tangible support to those in need.”
Australian Red Cross Queensland Director, Collin Sivalingum, expressed his gratitude for MG’s ongoing support of this annual event that’s now in its fourth year.
"Thanks to MG Motor Australia, we've raised over $168,000 to support vulnerable Australians. This year's donation will specifically benefit our Brisbane Night Café, which offers a safe space and essential services to young people facing severe social exclusion.”
