Kyosho 1:12 scale 1967 Mazda Cosmo Sport - Prestige Collectables

Part of the Samurai Series from Kyosho, this big – 1:12 scale – model pays tribute to Mazda’s Cosmo Sport. One of the most individual Japanese cars of all time, the original Cosmo from 1967 was also one of the first production cars to feature a rotary engine.

Kyosho’s closed (no opening parts) resin model of this iconic Japanese sports car is finely detailed inside and out, from the mirrors, chrome and hubcaps to the steering wheel and houndstooth-look seat trim.

Just as the Mazda Cosmo Sport was produced in small numbers, so too is this scale model, with only 600 units released worldwide.

A 5-bolt billet pinion support (with larger than OEM bolts) is standard, while the 360-degree channel maximises oil flow to the oversize pinion bearing. Two contact points with the bore of the case hold the pinion shaft more securely, while the through-bolt design centre section, along with the billet one-piece main bearing caps, add strength.
