Rare 6 Wheel equipped For sale is this beautiful 1934 roadster, it is a pleasure to drive and very reliable. It was restored in the early 70’s, back when hardly anything had to be done to bring it back to the amazing car it was in 1934. I believe it was hardy driven after that as it is still in great condition with a tied motor, but not anymore. It is believed to have been purchased new in Mannum SA and made its home in a near by town. Then purchased from the original owner on the 6th February 1968, (I have the receipt). The new owner restored it then with his passing it became his sons. I purchased the roadster in 2018. Over the last 3 years I have had the engine completely reconditioned with all new bearings, pistons, bushings etc. crank, rods, fly wheel etc machined, even a brand new old stock cylinder head from the States. It has been completely balanced for smoother running, and new engine mounts of course. I have also completely rebuilt the gear box with all new gears (except reverse idler) and syncros, sourced locally, interstate and the States. Bearings have been replaced, thrust washers made, a new hard to get driveline universal joint was also replaced. New clutch plate. The Radiator has been reconditioned with a new core. The original air filter has been modified to take a paper filter. (not that you can tell from looking at it) The exhaust has been remade/replaced with new to match the original. Photo’s along the building process to back this up. The paint is not perfect as it was done early seventies and has some scratches and chips but you would expect that. It was on full SA rego but now on club rego, so you can walk in and registrar to vehicle. Note: the vehicle comes with the original radiator cap not the mascot shown in the photo’s.
