This 1939 Chevrolet Sedan has been through an extensive ground up no expense spared build into the one-off street rod you see here today. The workmanship on this vehicle has been performed to an extremely high level and the car is a multi award winning vehicle.
Starting with the chassis, the front end is Rodtech independent with adjustable coil overs and rack and pinion steering. The rear is a four link setup with adjustable coil overs. There is custom bracing throughout the chassis for strength and everything is smoothed and polished or painted in detail underneath. Under the bonnet is a fully built and blown 427ci Chevrolet big block V8. The engine features an Eagle crank, H Beam rods, forged pistons and aluminium heads.
It is topped with a Blower Shop 8/71 supercharger fed by two 600 Holley carburettors. Ignition is provided by MSD components throughout. The transmission is a Turbo 350 Automatic with Lokar shifter and 2500rpm stall. The power is fed to the rear wheels via a custom drive shaft into a 9 inch diff with LSD centre. Pulling everything up is power disc brakes on all four corners.
The original steel body has been extensively modified with lots of subtle changes. The most notable change is the roof chop which was been lowered 3 inches in the front and 4 inches in the rear.
The roof gutters have been shaved as have the doors. The door edges have been rounded for a more flowing look and the factory suicide rear opening doors have been retained. There is now a one-piece custom bonnet with removable bonnet sides for when you want to show off the polished and detailed engine bay. The jewel in the crown is the hand-made polished billet grille in the front end. The car sits lowered over a set of American Racing Hopster Billet wheels measuring 18×8 in the front and 20×10 in the rear.
