Listed for Sale is "Ruby Red truck' (as my wife calls her). Ruby is a 1945 'American Bodied' Right Hand Drive 1/2 ton shortbox/shortbed pickup. Ruby is a very rare vehicle in both Australia and America, as she is a World War II Production Model vehicle. In America the 1941 to 1947 Chevrolet Truck/utility range are known as 'Art Deco' trucks. One look at Ruby and you can tell why, she is a real stunner and draws attention where ever she goes. Ruby is clean, straight and totally rust free. She is on the original chassis with Jaguar front and rear ends, 350 SBC motor, TH 350 Automatic Transmission. Power Steer, Air Conditioning, tow bar and brake controller. It is my understanding that Ruby came from a Califorian Air Force Base about 10 years ago and underwent her rebuild and conversion to RHD in Victoria. Ruby has previously had Full Registration in Victoria but is currently on Street Rod Registration in NSW, therefore she will be sold unregistered. It is my belief that it would take very little modification to get her on full registration in most states. I've owned Ruby for 2 years now, during which time she has won numerous awards and trophies, I will be sorry to see her go but unfortunately she does not meet our current requirements.
