This beautiful and unique 1956 F100 has called Australian home for the last 12 years with only one owner since landing here. This F-Truck has also had it’s taste of fame, featuring in television ads alongside Former Australian racing driver Dick Johnson, who has left his mark with his signature proudly featured on the dash. Walking around the out side of this F100 you’ll find this truck is finished in a stunning Orange/ White Harley Davidson inspired paint scheme which help makes this old girl pop! The Harley Davidson Orange and vibrant Birch White paint is separated with black pin striping which ties together nicely with the lines on the side steps. The tray has been finished with polished timber which finishes the look and completes the classic pick-up truck vibe. Roof lining, dash and door trims are in comparable condition to that of the seats with no sagging or tearing evident. Inside not too much is out of place in regards to early 1950’s styling with the only noticeable changes being the aftermarket head unit and gauges. A/C has also been installed which is a huge improvement from the original pop up air vent in the centre of the dash, for those hot Aussie days.
Open the custom gull wing bonnet and you are greeted by a tough 460 big block Ford motor taking centre stage. This mean motor is matted to a heavy duty rebuilt Ford C6 transmission and subsequent 8″ Mustang diff to deliver the grunt to the 225/70R15 tyres fitted to Eagle Alloy rims. With Heidts independent front suspension along with power steering this F-100 is an absolute pleasure to drive and handles beautifully.
