Seller's Description
THE STORY The Buick Electra 225 were full sized, premium models from General Motors Buick division. The Electra name was used between 1959 and 1990. The “225” name is in reference to the vehicle’s overall length (225 inches or 5.715 metres). For this came the street name “deuce and a quarter”. All 225’s were powered by a 401ci (6.6 litre) nailhead V8 with a 4 barrel carburettor that put out 325 HP and had a 10.25:1 compression rating. THE CAR A rare, factory right hand drive survivor car with 86,309 original miles. Finished in its original Electric Blue paint, this vehicle is completely original and mechanically excellent. It can be used as a daily driver or upgraded back to her former glory at your leisure. Rebuilt original 400ci V8 with restored column shift automatic, rebuilt power steering and power brakes. With over $ 20,000 spent mechanically in the past few years, our test drive reveals an exceptionally compliant and powerful ride with great suspension, light power steering, smooth gear shift and outstanding brakes. It is reported that all electricals work including, power windows, power front seat, power quarter windows and antenna. The interior is finished in two-tone light blue cloth in used original condition with all options and original hubcaps. Current long-term ownership since 2007. With a pillarless body and 6 seats for your mates, this is a cool Summer cruiser.
