This 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt replica is an amazing example with big dollars spent and lots of attention to authentic details. The Thunderbolt was a low volume factory produced race car designed with emphasis on lightweight and bare bones. Only 100 were originally produced. This vehicle has undergone a full nut and bolt restoration. Painted in Wimbledon White and entirely re trimmed. Powered by a 427 FE Ford big block top oiler with 4 bolt cross mains. Twin 465 Holley mechanical secondary carbies. The engine has a high volume Milidon sump with windage tray, solid lifters and adjustable rockers. The manual gearbox is a 4 speed close ratio T10 with a Hurst Competition shifter and RC Industries bell housing. 11 inch SFI flywheel and Hayes clutch and pressure plate. The rear diff is a Ford Nine inch with 31 spline axles, double rib nodular case with a Detroit Locker 4.5:1 ratio centre. All underbody suspension components, rubbers and seals have been replaced. The radiator is a cross-flow Galaxie. Electric Stewart Warner fuel pump. 2 inch primary extractors into a 2.5 inch exhaust system. All new four wheel single circuit drum brakes. New fuel tank. New windscreen. 15 x7 steelies on rear. 15 x6 steelies on the front. Full fibreglass front including bumper. This incredible historic muscle car is consigned with us and is in the care of it's owner in Cleveland 4163. Inspections are by appointment only.
