Condition: Interior and Exterior: While the car is generally in excellent condition, there are a few points to note. There is a small tear on the driver’s seat and some patina on the chrome exterior finishes. The power steering has a leak (red fluid), which I believe needs attention. The original vacuum central locking still works but loses pressure, so manual unlocking of the passenger doors is required upon returning to the vehicle. Driving Experience: Beyond these minor issues, the car presents and drives beautifully. It retains the simplicity of steel coil springs and oil-filled shock absorbers, as opposed to the more complex self-levelling air suspension. Historical Production: The W108.016 was produced between November 1967 and September 1972, with a total of 93,666 examples made. This particular model features a smooth inline 2.8 L 6-cylinder engine, offering a timeless driving experience. The vehicle is currently in storage, and I will post some better photos soon.
