This is the first year a Lincoln luxury group option was produced. The SLG was only available from 1973 to 1975. It was the only one in 1973, There were Two in 1974, Five in 1975 and expanded to Nine in 1976 or Thirteen if you include the designer addition cars.
This particular Lincoln is in excellent show room condition. It has a 460 cubic inch V8, C6 auto, 9 inch diff and runs and drives as new. It has Power everything (Steering, Windows, Seats, Antenna, Door locks, Trunk release) Air-Con, Steering mounted cruise control, Power glass sliding moon roof with silver tint. This was only available on the SLG package. All others where fixed glass panels. It has a C.B radio with external pa speaker and AM/FM radio.
The excellent show quality Silver Moon Dust metallic exterior was re painted by the original owner in the USA. All trim, chrome, fenders, mouldings and hardware of any kind where removed, some replaced with NOS parts. The chrome and trim are in excellent condition. It is complemented with beautiful original genuine Pearlescent silver leather interior. The original Lincoln embossed floor mats are in excellent condition. Only one set per car were produced and not available as an aftermarket spare parts item. The engine bay and trunk are very tidy and original. The under carriage has been thoroughly cleaned and detailed. AC has had a full service and re gassed, with a brand new compressor, receiver/dryer and expansion valve.
The 20 inch 150 spoke chrome wire show wheels currently on the car are in excellent condition, and i have just fitted 4 brand new Falken tyres (20th June 18). New upper and lower control arm bushes were also fitted at the same time with the new wheel alignment. I have the original rims with brand new white wall tyres and the original SLG stainless steel full wheel covers. They go with the car. The original Michelin spare is still in the trunk.
The main photo shown in the magazine and website was taken at the 2016 Queensland Hot Rod show at the Brisbane Convention Center. The car has travelled approx. 1000km's since.
The genuine reason for selling is that due to family commitments I have to many vehicles not being driven regular enough. Some have to go and regrettably this is one of them. The car has full Lo1 compliance, is currently registered on club rego and comes with an RWC. It has personalised plates attached and I may negotiate to sell them with the car if sold in Queensland.
