Two of the cars were A9X Hatchbacks, one with a dealer fitted roll cage, and this car now for sale, is one of the 4 door A9Xs, also fitted with a roll cage. A well known A9X with its previous owner of more than 20 years being Torana guru, the late Wayne Quine. This early build A9X, number 49 in the build sequence was used for promotional purposes and to promote HDT major sponsor Marlboro both on and off the race track. The current owner of 7 years has fully restored the A9X from top to bottom with new two pack paint and decals, full retrim including seats, carpets, new hood lining and door cards. Even the seat frames have been powder coated. The NT factory replacement engine has been fully rebuilt with new pistons, rings, new Webers, new exhaust, reconditioned M21 gearbox and diff, new suspension throughout, new fuel lines and new 90 litre drop tank. The car rides on restored race only 15x10 and 14x8 Aunger Hotwires plus original restored date coded A9X rims that came with the car from the factory are included.
